The buffing and polishing wheel solvent-based treatments have properties that create a very high flash point, greatly reducing the chance of buff fires. The solvent-based treatments penetrate the buffing wheel cloth further than the water-based treatments. They can be adjusted from soft to medium to hard or rock hard treatments on cloth or sisal buffs.
